Beracah Homes adds new sales center in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE - October 20, 2009 -- Bay River Homes, a Beracah Homes preferred builder, has opened a new location in Cambridge to complement its current location in Denton. This brings to 13 the number of Beracah Homes sales centers on Delmarva. Each sales center is independently owned and operated, and is an approved builder of Beracah Homes.
Bay River Homes has built homes from Annapolis to Seaford, Del., but its main focus will be Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot and Queen Anne counties. The general manager of Bay River Homes is Jim Cheyunski, and the superintendent is Buddy Millman. "Business has been really picking up for us in 2009," said Cheyunski. "We're proud to say that our satisfied customers are our best referral source." Cheyunski is a former NFL football player, having played for the New England Patriots, the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Colts.
Bay River Homes is located on 2918 Old Route 50, near Cambridge Diner. The company plans to put a Beracah model home on site in the near future. "The new office in Cambridge, brings a new Beracah Preferred Builder to the area with a much more competitive pricing structure than we have had in Dorcester County," said Roger Collison, vice president of Beracah Homes. "This will give the residents of this area the option to easily choose a Beracah Builder." Beracah Homes, a modular home manufacturer located in Greenwood, Del., uses the phrase in describing their construction: "off-site, stick built."
"Our goal has always been to carry that message to prospective builders and homebuyers ... a Beracah Home is a stick-built home, it's just built inside our plant instead of starting on your property," said Collison. Part of Beracah's success comes from its relatively quick construction. "From the time a home enters our plant, our customers can be living in their new home in eight to 12 weeks," said Collison. "That speed of turnaround combined with the benefits of construction in a controlled environment is very attractive to prospective customers."
